Eleanor Higgins

Eleanor Higgins is a London-based award winning writer, actor, and theatre-maker known for her bold, emotionally resonant storytelling. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and ALRA, she is the founder and creative director of Bush Productions, a company dedicated to amplifying LGBTQ+ voices and stories. 

 

Her acclaimed one-woman show, In PurSUEt, is a darkly comic exploration of obsession, addiction, and queer identity. The show debuted at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2019 to sold-out audiences and returned in 2022 for a full run at Underbelly Cowgate, earning critical praise for its blend of humour and dark subject matter. Described as “Hilarious, thought-provoking and deeply heartbreaking,” the play has been lauded for its candid portrayal of mental health and substance misuse.   

 

Higgins is the writer and creator of Wanted, a new theatrical work that was longlisted for the Verity Bargate Award and shortlist recommended for the Untapped Award. A a feminist and LGBTQ+ advocate, her work continues to challenge norms and foster dialogue around identity, trauma, and recovery.
